What are we looking for

The Engineer position is responsible forproviding engineering expertise to evaluate conformance of inverters energy storage systemssolar / photovoltaic panels solar racking and tracking systemsto industry standards creating evaluation reports and testplans conducting and / or witnessing testing resolving technical and / or administrative issues and providing Intertek customers with superior customer service. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $80000to $90000. What youll do :

• Conduct evaluations of equipment as required to determine compliance with applicable standard(s)
• Plan coordinate and execute project work and keep the client informed
• Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions
• Validate the project scope and sample applicability
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing within the scope of the project
• Set up and operate equipment under test (EUT)
• Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. Core tests include but are not limited to : rating leakagecurrent dielectric temperature pressure stability mechanical hazard flammability abnormal and fault insurance rain etc.
• Perform utility interactive testing such as : response to abnormal voltage response to abnormal frequency unintentionalislanding harmonic distortion interconnection integrity etc.
• Set up and operate standard test equipment including but not limited to : power analyzer oscilloscope load banks EMIequipment thermocouples and data loggers multi-meter dielectric strength tester ground continuity tester digital multimeter surge generator over-voltage tester environmental condition chamber and articulated probes. Use hand tools tobuild / calibrate test fixtures.
