Reports to : Assistant Director of Environmental Services

Schedule : Full time; primarily Monday through Friday, 2nd shift 2pm to 11 : 30Pm, alternating weekends and holidays required.

Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Manager , you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operational needs of the department at a hospital. You will coordinate the tasks of the hourly associates and assist in training and development. You will serve as a liaison between administration and unit departments and provide the highest possible level of service. The Environmental Services (EVS) department plays a vital role in healthcare facilities by ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include : infection prevention, cleaning and disinfection, waste management, and training and resources. EVS professionals have access to resources and training to enhance their skills and contribute to infection prevention programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for departments financial data and statistics.
• Monitoring of unit expenditures.
• Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget.
• Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities.
• Establishes work standards and work flow.
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations.
• Encourages and mentor staff creativity and innovation.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
• Reads, develops, and administers Total Quality Management process.
• Additional duties as assigned.
