AECOM is seeking an Environmental Scientist / Ecologist to be based in our Pennsylvania office.
This position is expected to begin in Spring / Summer 2026.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :
- Assisting the lead Ecologist / Wetland Scientist in performing stream wetland wildlife habitat assessments and other ecological surveys.
- Assisting ecological leads with processing field data and development / originating ecological assessment reports and utilization equipment such as tablets and GPS units.
- Assisting with coordination of various governmental agencies regarding ecological survey protocols reporting standards or endangered and threatened species coordination.
- Reviewing desktop information to complete environmental impact assessments.
- Working with the team leads to become familiar with our field survey equipment data forms and other data collection and reporting tools.
- Assisting in preparing permit applications and other technical information.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer / scientist.
- Uses computer software as a tool for data management and calculations.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Local travel is likely and U.S travel possible and project dependent.
