Overview

As an Environmental Scientist for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll conduct office and field activities related to environmental compliance projects and help develop plans, permit applications, and reports.

Duties may include:
• Preparing environmental data tables, maps, figures, and reports to help interprets results and make recommendations for further action.
• Preparing engineering calculations, complete application forms, and help compile permit applications for new and expanding industrial, energy, and other commercial enterprises.
• Contributing to the preparation of environmental regulatory reports and plans.
• Conducting field investigations, data collection, and site reconnaissance tasks.

Qualifications

• . in Environmental Science or related field;
• 0-4 years professional experience;
• Detailed-oriented;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
• Ability to speak effectively;
• Ability to use Microsoft Word Processing and MS Excel spreadsheet software;• Ability to travel overnight and work extended hours as needed

The posting range for this position is between $52,444 - $87,210 based on experience and location (in addition, CEC offers overtime pay and other great benefits).
