    • Responsibilities

  • Plan develop and deliver engaging English language instruction tailored to students language proficiency levels
  • Develop and implement lessons that integrate listening speaking reading and writing skills
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds of students
  • Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with general education teachers administrators and parents to support student growth and language development
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking in language learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance performance and progress reports
  • Stay current with best practices in ESL education and participate in ongoing professional development

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education TESOL Linguistics or a related field required
  • Masters degree in TESOL or Education preferred
  • Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization (CLAD TESOL or equivalent) required
  • Previous experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication cultural competency and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for language instruction
