Description

Welcome to the next generation in senior living, The Springs Living!

About Us:

The Springs Living is a purpose-driven senior living organization with communities throughout Oregon, Washington & Montana. For nearly 30 years, The Springs Living has been committed to transforming housing for older adults by delivering quality service and fostering an enrichment culture to help residents, their families and each other live life to its fullest. To do this, we demonstrate our core values—kindness, quality, innovation, trust, and pride— and empower every team member to do the right thing!

Position Summary:

The Springs Living is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team. Our FP&A team works closely with business leaders across the organization, providing insights that help shape smart financial and operational decisions. In this role, you’ll lead financial analyses, guide a variety of business initiatives, and manage key processes such as planning, forecasting, management reporting, and ad hoc analysis. You’ll also have the chance to contribute your expertise to finance, compliance, strategy, and operations.

This highly visible position plays a pivotal role in supporting both enterprise-level and operational planning, helping to drive the company’s short-, mid-, and long-term financial success. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams and locations, building strong relationships and influencing decisions that make a real impact. This role also offers opportunities to enhance financial tools, streamline processes, and leave a lasting mark on the organization. The ideal candidate is results-driven, collaborative, committed to continuous improvement, and proactive in identifying and mitigating risks—all while making meaningful contributions that help the organization thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the annual budgeting process, short-range and long-range planning, and periodic forecasting cycles for care facilities and home office, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Drive monthly and quarterly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identify key drivers, and partner with business leaders to implement corrective actions
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis of key revenue streams, cost drivers, and overall P&L performance; deliver actionable insights to influence business decisions
  • Synthesize and communicate the consolidated financial outlook and key insights to senior leadership, enabling informed strategic decision-making
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to operations and corporate leaders, translating financial results into actionable recommendations and driving financial accountability across the organization
  • Develop and evaluate business cases and investment analyses, tracking performance against expectations across diverse client segments, products, and service offerings
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial and operational models across all financial statement levels, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
  • Lead management reporting processes, including analysis of financial results, identification of trends, and assessment of current and future business risks
  • Design and deliver intuitive dashboards and KPI scorecards, and define and standardize key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company strategy
  • Provide companywide trend analysis, benchmarks, and performance metrics to support comparative insights and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate reporting and financial processes, increasing efficiency, scalability, and data accuracy
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across financial and operational reporting systems
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to implement and optimize FP&A systems and tools (e.g., BI/EPM/CRM), supporting digital transformation initiatives
  • Develop and implement tools, templates, and methodologies to enhance planning and reporting efficiency and support scalable growth
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with leadership on all financial and operational matters
  • Support internal controls and ensure financial processes comply with company policies and audit requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture and ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
  • Uphold and promote the culture, values, and purpose of the FP&A function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial planning, or business analysis, demonstrating increasing responsibility and scope
  • Experience leading, building and mentoring, or managing team members or cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven experience owning or supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including financial statements and variance analysis
  • Outstanding analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to partner with and influence stakeholders across multiple levels, including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with large datasets and sourcing data from databases or data systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong financial modeling skills required
  • Experience with FP&A, BI, or ERP systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle) strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, results-driven individual with a proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement orientation

Benefits:

  • Health insurance (includes zero co-pay for mental health counseling)
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k) matching
  • Short-term and Long-term disability
  • Employee assistance program
