FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry. *Job Description* We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our engineering team in Fort Lauderdale, United States. In this role, you will support the design and development of mechanical components and systems while gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to projects from concept through prototyping, developing your technical skills and understanding of mechanical design principles. * Assist in creating and modifying CAD models and technical drawings using industry-standard software * Support the analysis and optimization of mechanical components and assemblies * Conduct research on design alternatives and manufacturing processes to support engineering decisions * Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve designs * Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and assembly instructions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot design challenges and identify solutions * Support prototyping efforts and contribute to testing and evaluation activities * Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards * Communicate findings and progress updates to senior engineering staff *Qualifications* Required Skills : * Proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX,or equivalent platforms * Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and design principles * Perform engineering calculations, tolerance calculations and reporting * Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications * Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills * Effective written and verbal communication abilities * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills : * Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or simulation software * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties * Experience with 3D modeling and visualization techniques * Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies * Previous internship or project-based experience in mechanical design or engineering *Additional Information* All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. *Bosch adheres to Federal, State, and Local laws regarding drug-testing.
