Our Horticulture team is looking for Gardeners!
The City of Springfield is committed to working with the community to provide ethical and responsible services so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of living and working in Springfield. Public Grounds is responsible for the design, planning, planting, and management of vegetation along city right-of-ways, facility grounds and beautification projects within Springfield. Our primary goal is to effectively manage these areas of responsibility to provide a safe environment and a higher quality of life for our residents and visitors. This position's hours are Monday through Friday.
Experience, Education, and Training :
- Three years of work experience in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, or a related field;
- Completion of 23 hours of horticulture, forestry or related coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years experience.
