Builders (Construction Superintendent / Manager) Opportunity

David Weekley Homes Charlotte Team is hiring Builders to oversee new residential construction in our Charlotte, North Carolina Division. Your sense of accomplishment will build with each new home as you manage 30+ subcontractors and the building process with full accountability for quality. Using your organizational and motivational talents, balancing field management with office activities, you and your teammates will help to create a community you can be proud of. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer delight and sense of urgency.

Job Responsibilities :

• The planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis.
• Selection, coordination, oversight & management of people, materials, budgets, schedules & contracts.
• Oversee the scheduling, delivery & use of materials, the quality of construction, worker productivity & compliance with building / safety codes. Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites
• Understand contracts, plans, construction methods & regulations
• Track & control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns
• Prepare daily, monthly & quarterly reports
• Schedule and manage subcontractors and sub-contractor relationships in order to build homes on schedule and close on time
• Complete homes and all customer walk through items prior to closing
• Conduct weekly Home Buyer Meetings with Customers
