Description

Standing watch in the SURTASS Operations Center (SOC) onboard SURTASS vessels to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SURTASS mission equipment, supporting Fleet requirements, including maintaining all required records and logs and monitoring and sending record Naval Message Traffic

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all SURTASS mission equipment in accordance with the PMS and other reference documents, as required
• Utilizing the WILD trouble ticket application to log all maintenance trouble tickets for action in the JSN / WKRQ log, which shall include all applicable labor, external technical assistance, parts, and time expended
• Maintaining an accurate logistics inventory as provided by the Government, and provide periodic updates to the Product Support Facility (PSF)
• Operating the shipboard test equipment pool used with SURTASS mission equipment, including ensuring it is in calibration through early and frequent coordination with the PSF
• Maintaining a technical library on each ship to support all SURTASS mission equipment
