Job Title : Field Superintendents

Location : Amarillo, TX

Duration : 1-2 Years

Pay Rate : $30 / hr - $55 / hr

Summary

Verigent is looking for several individuals qualified to work onsite to manage day-to-day site activities in various areas of a large construction project. All Field Superintendent will collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure project schedule, safety, and quality are being properly adhered to. Will be responsible for directing partners, supervisors, and field staff within their specific area. The position requires experience in managing high-volume structural, CSA, and MEP scopes in parallel with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve coordination issues in the field.

Positions are open for people with onsite construction experience supporting large projects in one or more of the following areas :

  • Plumbing & Fire Protection
  • Mechanical Systems (Wet) : Fire Sprinkler, Plumbing, Mechanical Industrial Piping Experience.
  • Mechanical Systems (Dry) : HVAC
  • Life Safety Systems / Electrical : Low Voltage and Fire Alarm Construction
  • Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) : Design and implementation of systems with variables that include pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, force or speed on large industrial or hi-tech projects.
  • Low-Voltage Electrical Construction
  • General Construction : Exposure to hyperscale or mission critical data center experience preferred.
  • Commissioning

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and coordinate all field construction activities within your area / expertise.
  • This includes civil, structural, architectural and MEP trades where applicable.
  • Must collaborate onsite with project engineers, construction / project managers, superintendents and other field managers and leadership.
  • Direct the daily work of multiple subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with design, specifications, and schedules.
  • Manage delivery of short-interval plans and longer range schedules to align with the master schedule.
  • Drive high field productivity, identify problems, and implement solutions maintain momentum.
  • Lead daily coordination meetings, trade walks, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor field installations for quality, adherence to design, and compliance with building codes and specifications.
  • Collaborate with QA / QC teams to coordinate inspections, punch lists, and system turn over milestones.
  • Support commissioning efforts by ensuring system readiness and trade participation in functional testing.
  • Maintain details daily field reports, progress photos and as-built documentation.
  • Review and provide feedback on construction documentation related to field conditions.
  • Must understand and comply with all local authority permitting, codes, and site specifications.

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of onsite large construction field supervision experience required.
  • Deep understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, and commissioning workflows.
  • Ability to manage several onsite initiatives at once while frequently handling updates and urgent questions on work in progress. Multitasking is a must.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software such as Procore and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • A strong commitment to safety compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific requirements.

    • Preferred Experience

  • At least 3 years on hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects preferred.
  • Proven experience managing projects involving structural steel, large-scaled MEP systems, generator yards, duct banks, and underground and overhead utilities is preferred.
