The Kind Of Work You'll Be Doing
- Contact existing and new foundations as well as trusts, major donors, and other charitable organizations to obtain permission and guidelines for submitting proposals.
- Research project needs throughout the world that meet the criteria in the foundation instructions, correlate competing needs and JFP's ability to meet the needs; with the Field Representatives, or independently, determine the most appropriate match of needs to the desires of grant requestors.
- Interview Distribution Representatives for information relating to field projects, including budgets.
- Create proposal budget in donor dollars.
- Write proposals in accordance with the various and unique requirements in the proposal instructions.
- Forward proposals to project staff (Field Information Services, Distribution, and Field Representatives) for suggestions and / or editing.
- Submit the proposals with attachments to requestors, answer questions concerning the proposal, and supply any additionally required information.
- Maintain current grant files and all attachments to ensure grant compliance.
- Provide various reports during the life of a grant by interfacing with Field Information Services and Distribution Representatives.
