Job Summary
Were seeking a dynamic PeopleSoft Finance Business Analyst Manager to lead the implementation, evolution, and support of our PeopleSoft Finance system.In this leadership role, youll serve as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders, ensuring that system improvements, change management, and support activities align with the institutions strategic priorities. Youll lead technical and business analyst teams to deliver solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and service excellence.
What Youll Do
- Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the PeopleSoft Finance system.
- Serve as the main liaison for Finance stakeholders and IT teams.
- Develop and refine support methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage Business Analysts and contractors across multiple initiatives.
- Establish and maintain standards for planning, tracking, change control, risk management, and communication .
- Collaborate with senior University leadership to align financial systems with institutional goals.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, data privacy, and information security policies.
What You Bring
Education : Bachelors degree in a related field.
Experience : Minimum 5 years of relevant experience , or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred : 10+ years of experience with university systems, including PeopleSoft Finance .

Job Duties Job Duty Manage Program Projects
Direct and coordinate the PeopleSoft program management activities relating to Finance projects. These activities include oversight of project forecasting and status reporting; interfacing with customers regarding project issues and status; monitoring task completion and milestones relative to plans; adjusting resource assignments; negotiating with other Program and / or Project Managers for resources; making recommendations to change plans to reduce risk or get projects back on track; drafting status reports to project executives, stakeholders and customers; and managing the change control process. Reviews progress and status of program and identifies specific activities to be performed to ensure deliverables, milestones, and required tasks are completed according to agreed upon deadlines; provides status reports to supervisor, executive management and other stakeholders Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Manage Program Strategies, Processes and Procedures
Assist Division of IT supervisor, Executive Leadership, and key stakeholders in strategic planning and the management decision-making process. Works with DoIT and other University stakeholders to develop program standards for documentation, requirements gathering, specifications, issues management, risk management, release management, change management, and incident management. Directs and develops Business Analysts to ensure deliverables are completed on time and at the expected level of quality. Activities include interfacing with stakeholders to negotiate scope and resources, driving documentation of changes, managing issues and change management processes, identifying and assigning resources to tasks, coordinating communication across USC organizations, and conducting continual process improvement for all the above. Direct and coordinate the PeopleSoft program management activities relating to operational support. These activities include oversight of incident and service request tasks and status reporting; interfacing with customers regarding operational issues and status; testing and validation; adjusting resource assignments; negotiating with other Program Managers for resources; making recommendations to eliminate incidents via problem resolution; and drafting status reports to supervisors, stakeholders and customers.
