About Our Client
Our Aerospace Manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with stringent aerospace industry standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on maintaining quality systems, performing inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support high-precision manufacturing operations. Job Description
The Quality Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements and review supplier documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventive actions for nonconformances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish and maintain quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and audit findings.
- Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory reviews.
- Utilize quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and PPAP to monitor and improve processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 standards.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with NADCAP and special process audits.
- Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems and quality management software.
- ASQ certifications (CQE or CQA) or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $105,000 depending on experience
