We are looking for a Service Writer to support our in-house mechanic shop and keep our fleet running smoothly. This role is critical in coordinating repairs, tracking maintenance, and ensuring our drivers and equipment are always ready to go.

Responsibilities :

  • Open, update, and close repair orders for company vehicles.
  • Communicate service needs between drivers, management, and mechanics.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and parts records.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and track upcoming service intervals.
  • Provide cost estimates for parts and repairs and get approval before work begins.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of vehicles to minimize downtime.

Qualifications :

  • Experience as a Service Writer, Fleet Service Coordinator, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, DOT requirements, and repair processes is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.
