About Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee

Tikkun Ha-Ir (“Repair of the City”) is a Jewish social justice and social action organization (501c3) that builds a more just community by uniting Jews of all backgrounds in study, action, and civic engagement.

Program & Mission Advancement (20%)

  • Oversee Tikkun Ha-Ir’s programs and initiatives, including food justice, volunteer engagement, educational programming, and civic engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to evaluate and strengthen programs.
  • Ensure organizational activities align with the mission, values, and strategic priorities.

Organizational Leadership & Operations (15%)

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit best practices.

Financial Stewardship & Board Partnership (10%)

  • Work closely with the Treasurer and Board to develop and monitor the annual budget and monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Board of Directors.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep knowledge of Jewish values, traditions, and communal life.
  • Passion for community building, social justice, and service.
  • Experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, fundraising, education, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing projects, volunteers, staff, or teams.
  • Proven ability of fundraising, donor engagement, and grant writing.
  • Experience in building relationships across diverse communities.

Description
