Fundraising Manager

Overview :

The Fundraising Manager is a key member of the Development Team, responsible for driving revenue generation through donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and strategic fundraising initiatives to help serve Central Florida's homeless population. This role emphasizes building meaningful relationships, securing funding opportunities, and coordinating events and outreach efforts to meet organizational fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Engagement & Stewardship

Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.

Develop and execute strategies to engage and retain donors while expanding the donor base.

Maintain personalized, ongoing communication with donors through meetings, correspondence, and events.

Ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment and recognition of donor contributions.

Team Management

Supervise and support the Development Coordinator, ensuring alignment with fundraising objectives.

Oversee responsibilities related to donor research, data management, and event logistics.

Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Monitor and ensure accuracy of donor records and engagement tracking within the donor database.

Fundraising Events & Campaigns

Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and third-party initiatives.

Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners for successful event execution.

Represent the organization at events to engage and steward donors and key stakeholders.

Community Engagement & Outreach

Serve as a public representative at community events, networking opportunities, and speaking engagements.

Host tours and visits for donors and community stakeholders to showcase the organization's impact.

Build relationships with potential funders and supporters through active networking and engagement.

Collaboration & Strategy

Work closely with the Director of Development and other team members to ensure fundraising strategies align with organizational priorities.

Partner with marketing staff to create compelling promotional materials and donor communications.

Support special projects and contribute to other development efforts as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field preferred.

Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or sales is highly desirable.

Familiarity with donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, OneCause) preferred.

Required Skills

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in marketing and communications, including social media strategy and content creation.

Passion for mission-driven work and ability to inspire donor support.

Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities.
