This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of steam plant boilers with capacities of up to 4,000 BHP. The operator will manage and control utility panels to maintain essential services to the plant, and will be responsible for maintaining detailed records in logbooks, operating logs, and regulatory reports. The position also involves overseeing operations associated with electrical power distribution panels, interpreting OEM manuals, reading precision instruments, and performing minor mechanical piping repairs. The operator will be expected to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on utility systems.
Responsibilities- Operate and control steam plant boilers and utility panels.
- Maintain and record entries in logbooks and regulatory reports.
- Oversee operations of electrical power distribution panels.
- Read and interpret OEM manuals and precision instruments.
- Perform minor mechanical piping repairs.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on utility systems.
- 5 years of experience operating a multi-boiler steam plant.
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Third Class Power Engineers License issued by the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc. (NIULPE).
- Experience with boilers, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, steam turbines, and gas turbines.
- Familiarity with steam maintenance, DA tanks, steam fans, and boiler systems.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an industrial setting that is not climate-controlled and involves working both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions and high noise areas. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
