Your Opportunity:
As Senior Counsel for Technology and Managed Services, you will play a pivotal role in delivering legal guidance on EY's comprehensive suite of managed and technology services provided to clients. Your expertise will be vital in advising, drafting, updating, and negotiating complex legal agreements relating to managed services, outsourcing, systems implementation, application development & maintenance, and software licensing.
You will collaborate with the Technology and Managed Services legal group, supporting various teams across the US and abroad while managing contract reviews and negotiations. This fast-paced position requires an adept understanding of technology services and a proven ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate client-facing Technology & Managed Services Agreements, advising on contractual strategy and legal risks.
- Advise on key legal risks associated with technology in managed services agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the General Counsel's Office and partner with local counsel globally.
- Coordinate legal resources for managed services projects.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and alignment on data privacy, information security, and other areas relevant to technology services.
- Ensure that contractual documentation accurately protects EY's interests.
- Develop and enhance policies related to managed services and technology products.
- Manage workflow in a dynamic environment, ensuring reliable communication and responsiveness to leadership and team members.
- Build strong relationships within the legal community to deliver exceptional client service.
- Provide training on Technology & Managed Services Agreements, sharing knowledge and best practices across the firm.
To qualify, you should have:
- 6+ years of experience in complex services and technology-related transactions.
- Proven track record in negotiating with clients' internal counsel, law firms, and procurement teams.
- Experience in developing contracting templates and playbooks.
- Knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property law, and technology use in managed services.
- Experience with cross-border contracting and related issues.
- Ability to evaluate and negotiate terms for emerging technologies, including cloud and AI.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence.
- Adeptness at managing high volumes of work and competing priorities effectively.
- A solution-oriented mindset focused on exceptional client service.
- Experience in a managed services counsel role in a technology or consulting context.
- A bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Membership in a State Bar, in good standing.

We provide a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $118,500 to $221,600, reflecting your skills and experience. In specific metropolitan areas like New York City, Washington State, and California, the range is $142,200 to $251,900.
