Graduate assistant [h1.location_city]

POSITION SUMMARY :

Serve as the Varsity assistant coach at the Head Coach's discretion during the fall and spring seasons. Aid in all aspects of the softball program including field maintenance, recruiting, practice coaching, game coaching, spiritual mentorship, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversees the conduct, discipline, and positive character of student-athletes by the guidelines and principles of MACU and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.
• Coaches or directs players in the techniques of the game.
• Help plan and develop a recruitment plan; recruiting potential college athletics
• Supervise, conduct, and control all practice and training sessions.
• Lead and develop programs that will strengthen the character of student athletics.
• Compose and compile all game statistics.
• Maintain a professional-looking complex for recruits, visiting teams, students, and alumni.
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; will receive a $5,000.00 annual stipend and a graduate work 100% tuition waiver for 4 semesters at the institution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands to successfully perform the job are listed as lifting boxes of equipment, lifting and moving soccer goals for training, carrying equipment to and from the fields, and being able to handle heavy machinery such as mowers, edgers, etc. Must be able to lift and carry approx. 40 lbs.

This is a Graduate Assistant position. You must be accepted or anticipate acceptance into a MACU Graduate program before the term of employment begins. Compensation includes a full tuition scholarship and stipend.
