Timmons Group is seeking a talented Civil Designer to join our dynamic Water / Wastewater Group in our  Virginia Beach VA office. The qualified individual will perform civil site design tasks for a variety of water / wastewater infrastructure projects. The complexity and fast-paced nature of our clients needs create a dynamic environment for our team members fostering a culture of teamwork diverse training opportunities and a sense of ownership in the successful outcome of the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include  but are not limited to the following :

• Use professional judgment to independently complete assigned engineering designs.
• Lead and execute civil site design tasks across diverse infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and mentor junior engineers.
• Perform QA / QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy.
• Make impactful design decisions that align with client goals and project timelines.
• Identify and resolve technical scheduling or financial challenges.
• Support construction oversight and respond to contractor inquiries.
• Contribute to proposals cost estimates and client communications.
• Act as a technical expert on assigned projects and as Project Manager on smaller scope or specialty projects as assigned.
