Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations and compliance. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other labor regulations. Experience managing leave administration, workers' compensation, and employee relations matters. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Ability to work in-office up to four days per week.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience supporting multi-state operations and distributed workforces. Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions, including employee integration activities. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification. Experience with HRIS platforms and employee service/ticketing systems. Experience partnering with leadership teams on organizational development initiatives. Exposure to manufacturing, construction, distribution, logistics, or other multi-site operating environments. Job Description: The HR Manager is responsible for supporting business objectives through the effective implementation of human resources strategies, programs, and initiatives. This role serves as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, compliance, policies, and HR best practices. The HR Manager will collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to drive key projects, support a multi-state workforce, and help foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD). Administer and monitor employee relations matters while providing guidance to leaders and employees. Manage HR service request systems to ensure timely and accurate responses. Support workers' compensation and workplace injury processes, including claims administration and manager training. Oversee onboarding processes, including background checks, employment verification, and new hire compliance requirements. Partner with payroll, benefits, and talent acquisition teams to ensure alignment across HR functions. Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational growth initiatives, including employee integration activities. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Lead and participate in strategic HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
