Job Title : Hairdresser / Beautician

Location : Deer Park Health and Rehab – Nebo, NC

Position Type : Part-Time / Independent Contractor (adjust as needed)

Position Summary :

Deer Park Health and Rehab is seeking a licensed and personable Hairdresser / Beautician to provide professional grooming and hair care services to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly clients and will create a comfortable and positive salon experience that promotes dignity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide haircuts, shampoos, sets, styles, perms, and color treatments according to resident preferences and needs

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming salon space within the facility

Schedule and manage appointments in coordination with nursing and activities staff

Ensure proper infection control and sanitation procedures for tools and equipment

Build positive relationships with residents, treating them with patience, respect, and kindness

Maintain accurate records of services provided and report any resident concerns to nursing staff

Adhere to all state regulations and facility policies regarding resident care and safety

Qualifications :

Current North Carolina cosmetology license required

Experience working with geriatric or long-term care residents preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor

Additional Information :

Must provide own tools and supplies (if not provided by facility)

Liability insurance may be required
