The Columbia International University (CIU) Head Men's Soccer Coach provides visionary leadership for the men's soccer program. The coach will supervise, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the men's intercollegiate soccer program, including the recruitment, development, and spiritual leadership of its student athletes. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for mentoring student-athletes, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to spiritual, academic, and athletic excellence. CIU is an evangelical non-denominational Christian university that is unapologetically Christ-centered.
The Rams compete primarily in the NAIA as a part of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) and are also members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) at the Division I level.
Responsibilities
- Successfully plan, schedule, organize, and conduct all practices and competitions for the men's soccer program, including all preparation of facilities and equipment for practice.
- Ability to recruit and retain student-athletes that reflect the core values and mission of CIU.
- Provide Christ-centered mentorship and leadership to student-athletes, fostering spiritual growth and character development.
- Successfully coach all home and away contests, demonstrating Christian leadership and competitive excellence.
- Manage all aspects of running the men's soccer program, working independently and cooperatively with all CIU athletics and institution staff.
- Oversee and manage the operational budget and lead the fundraising efforts for the program.
- Ensure full compliance with all NAIA, NCCAA, and AAC policies and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the athletics director.
Qualifications
Proven ability to effectively teach, mentor, and coach student-athletes in the sport of soccer.
Demonstrated capability to work independently in all aspects of program management, including recruitment, operations, and athlete development.
