What You Will Do to Change Lives
The Peer Recovery Coach II engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members to assist them in exploring, creating, and meeting their own recovery goals. The PRC II serves to coach and guide other Peer Support professionals in the delivery of peer support services. PRC II provides peer services supervision in collaboration with the clinical supervisor and acts as the peer services consultant to program leadership and other staff. The Peer Recovery Coach II may deliver educational supervision groups on the unique discipline of peer support services and the roles of peer support professionals.
Peer Recovery Coaches II provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce a Recovery Culture as defined by the Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS), in which each members point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing a mental health / addiction-related emergency.
