An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Elementary Autism support at a school in Warren, Michigan. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational environment.
Location : Warren, MI
School Level : Elementary
Schedule : 8 : 30 AM 3 : 30 PM
Duration : Current School Year (Contract)
Caseload : Currently 5 students, with a capacity for up to 7
Professional Development : Required on August 20 and 21; student instruction begins August 25
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver specialized instructional support tailored to students with autism within an elementary classroom setting
- Collaborate closely with two experienced paraeducators who provide daily classroom support
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain ongoing communication with school leadership and participate in regular team meetings
