Summary

The Education Coordinator – Nursing is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing orientation and ongoing education for patient care staff. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, supports staff development, and promotes high standards in clinical documentation and care delivery. The coordinator develops instructional materials, revises documentation tools, and updates policies and procedures to reflect current best practices.

Responsibilities

Staff Education and Development

• Research and prepare materials for in-service education
• Deliver education through direct instruction, written materials, and skills labs
• Conduct orientation for new patient care employees and re-orientation for existing staff
• Provide one-on-one support for clinical and professional challenges
• Supervise patient care employees annually
