BASIC FUNCTION

The Health and Safety Coordinator will collaborate closely with the manufacturing team, field staff, clients, subcontractors, and management at all levels to develop, implement, and enhance our Health & Safety programs. This role will focus on maintaining the Safety Handbook, procedures, training, and audit programs. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, supporting accident investigations, delivering safety trainings, and fostering a proactive safety culture within the organization.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, implement, control, and optimize health, safety, and environmental operational processes.
• Maintain accurate OSHA Injury & Illness record keeping of forms 300, 300A, and 301, ensuring timely submissions.
• Coordinate effectively with relevant authorities.
• Provide expert advice to management and employees on health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Assist in training and educating staff in health, safety, and environmental areas.
• Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Total Case Rate (TCR) on a monthly basis.
• Organize certifications and manage both external and internal audits efficiently.
• Ensure management systems and manuals remain compliant with OSHA standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, recommend improvements, and oversee the implementation of corrective measures.
• Monitor compliance with environmental and safety legislation and provide technical support to meet HSE requirements.

A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant job experience is required, with a background in a dynamic manufacturing organization.
