Overview

Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a middle-market private equity generalist firm with a strong track record of performance and returns, to hire an Associate. The Associate will be a part of a diverse team of highly talented investment professionals allowing for high exposure and visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required with a strong record of academic success
  • 1-3 years of investment banking at an investment bank required
  • Strong modeling, analytical, valuation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to key internal / external stakeholders
  • Must have a team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects
  • Desire to live in Dallas, TX. (If not from Dallas, Texas ties strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining financial and operational models
  • Conducting due diligence on new potential investments and their associated industries
  • Transaction-related activities include strategic operational analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and financing of platform and add-on transactions, as well as the implementation of operational improvements post-close
  • Drafting investment committee presentation materials
  • Drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives
  • Drive evaluation of prospective add-on acquisition targets and execute add-on transactions
  • Assisting with portfolio company operations and reporting
  • Additional responsibilities on an ad hoc basis
