A company is looking for a Health Information Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Analyzes medical records to identify deficiencies and assigns them to appropriate health care providers
Monitors work queues for health care provider refusals and reassigns deficiencies as necessary
Responds to health care provider inquiries regarding record completion
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Medical office or Health Information experience preferred
Knowledge of Windows-based functions required
Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
RHIT / RHIA or RHIT / RHIA eligible preferred
