Assume a stationary position, Handle, inspect, and / or feel documents, materials and / or equipment relevant to the job; Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using Company email and telephone systems; Move around on the job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time, Lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. for some types of monitoring and inspections, Good visual skills, including focused depth perception, and Regular daily operations of a motor-vehicle, which may require remaining stationary for extended periods of time. Tectonic is actively seeking an experienced full-time Construction Inspector within the Western Region of New York State to provide construction management services on State University Construction Fund projects throughout the Syracuse, Buffalo, and / or Rochester, NY areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs construction inspection to observe work in progress on various SUCF projects;
- Monitor contractor's daily activities and uses applicable field testing and inspection procedures and equipment to perform required field testing to determine compliance with contracts, specifications, and engineering principles;
- Preparation of daily field reports, including communication of deficiencies observed in the field to project managers, contractors, and / or client representatives;
- Interpretation of drawings and documents, including work orders and build documents;
- Follows project safety protocol;
- All related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or Higher in Engineering;

PAY RANGE
Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range : $50.00 - $78.00 / hour
