As a Forensic Psychology Expert, you will be integral to the evaluation and treatment of individuals within the criminal justice system. Your expertise will help shape the future of those you serve. Key responsibilities include :
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients and defendants to identify any mental disorders and behavioral issues.
- Performing mental status examinations while gathering comprehensive psychosocial histories.
- Utilizing the DSM-5 to develop accurate diagnoses that will guide treatment and legal processes.
- Assessing an individual's competence to stand trial, implementing relevant forensic assessment tools.
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to review assessment data and prepare detailed court reports.
- Actively participating in staff meetings and case discussions to foster team collaboration and innovation.
- Providing immediate crisis management support for patients under suicide watch or in secure conditions.
- Conducting suicide risk assessments and offering on-call crisis management as necessary.
- Connecting clients with appropriate psychiatric, medical, and specialized services.
- Effectively communicating evaluation results to courts and other stakeholders within the criminal justice system.
- Writing comprehensive court reports that are well-supported by evaluation findings.
- Delivering clear and impactful court testimony regarding patient involvement and treatment responses.
