Join Our Team as a Locum Physician – General Medicine in Houston, TX

We are looking for dedicated General Medicine Physicians to provide essential compensation and pension (C&P) exams and health assessments nationwide. In this role, you will perform one-time non-treatment exams, primarily interview-based with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is required. The position offers competitive compensation, ongoing training, and the opportunity to work locally, with travel expenses covered when applicable.

Required Skills

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with licensure in good standing
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields
• Experience with compensation and pension exams preferred
• Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed protocols
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience with veterans’ healthcare or military-related assessments
• Familiarity with government or VA procedures
• Certification in relevant areas (e.g., DMA certifications)
• Ability to work remotely from your own office location

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience in general medicine or related specialties
• Prior experience with compensation and pension exams is advantageous

Other Requirements

• Local candidates only; travel included in rates
• Availability starting March 6, 2026
• Reliance on own office space for conducting exams
• Willingness to perform exams on a PRN basis, with flexible half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Completion of all required training to qualify for bonus incentives
