• This position will serve as overstaff to cover for open shifts due to absenteeism or turnover. Your day‑of‑week schedule may change based on absenteeism trends; however, you will be given at least two weeks’ notice before any change in the scheduled day of the week.
• While days may vary, the start and end times of your shift will not change without a mutually agreed upon arrangement between the scheduler and the officer.
• If you are sent home less than two hours into your scheduled shift, you will be compensated for two hours of pay for showing up

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Screen and direct visitors, enforce hospital guidelines, and issue passes
• Conduct patrols to detect safety hazards and unauthorized individuals
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare incident reports
• Respond to emergencies and calls for service with professionalism
• Escort personnel, control visitor access, and assist with patient transfers

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military police, or security
• Ability to lift and drag 50 pounds
• Proficiency in MS Word and basic computer knowledge
• Valid government-issued ID and security officer/guard license

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Basic computer knowledge and technical skills
