[job_card.job_description]Prepare patients for examinations by taking histories and vital signs. Set up and maintain exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment. Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Support physicians during minor surgeries and physical exams. Handle incoming calls and manage referrals effectively. Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or have at least twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting. Hold or be eligible to obtain a Medical Assistant certification within one year of hire. Active certification such as RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA is preferred.
