Baystate Health, a mission-driven academic healthcare system committed to building a workforce as exceptional as the care we deliver, is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Healthcare Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in Springfield, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers across assigned departments.
- Own the recruitment process from intake to onboardingdeveloping sourcing strategies, conducting behavioral interviews, negotiating offers, and ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Manage high-volume searches, tackle hard-to-fill positions, and proactively build pipelines to meet workforce planning needs.
Strategic Sourcing & Workforce Planning:
- Lead search intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruitment strategy.
- Develop creative sourcing plans for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines and sourcing pools.
- Identify recruitment trends and adjust strategies to meet time-to-fill and service level goals.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and workforce planning to align talent acquisition strategies with staffing models.
Candidate Assessment & Engagement:
- Review and screen applications in an expedited and thoughtful manner.
- Conduct phone, video, and in-person behavioral interviews.
- Assess competencies, certifications, and cultural alignment.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear, decision-ready summaries.
- Educate candidates on benefits, culture, and career pathways within healthcare.
- Maintain compliance with eligibility and recruitment policies.
Selection & Offer Management:
- Partner with hiring managers and compensation to develop equitable, competitive offers.
- Lead offer conversations and manage negotiations.
- Finalize hires and manage candidate progression within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Identify and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
Operational Excellence:
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the ATS.
- Ensure all approvals and recruitment workflows meet state and federal guidelines.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide data to support operational decisions.
- Build strong, professional partnerships with hiring managers, directors, and HR colleagues.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of recruiting experience (in lieu of degree) OR
- 2 years of professional recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare
- Healthcare recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Bachelors degree, preferred
- Knowledge of Workday, preferred
