Business Analyst Healthcare (Medicaid)
Location: Columbia, SC Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Work Requirement: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Project Scope: We are seeking a Business Analyst Advanced to support healthcare and Medicaid projects. The role involves analyzing business needs, documenting processes, and providing technical and non-technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT to deliver solutions that meet user needs
- Analyze operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Document business processes, requirements, and data relationships
- Translate high-level business needs into functional specifications
- Support requirements management, including change control and tracking
- Provide guidance to technical and testing teams on business requirements
- Identify risks and propose actionable solutions
- Collaborate with vendors, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Maintain business rules, requirements, and models in a repository
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in government IT or healthcare projects as a Business Analyst
- 5+ years' experience documenting business rules, processes, and requirements
- 3+ years' experience in Medicaid or healthcare projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of business modeling techniques and process documentation
Preferred Skills:
- Subject Matter Expertise in Medicaid or healthcare insurance operations
- Microsoft Project / Project Server
- Microsoft DevOps
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field
