As a Healthcare Reception Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our patients. You will efficiently manage incoming and outgoing calls, greet visitors, and provide prompt assistance to ensure everyone is attended to with courtesy and professionalism. This position involves basic administrative tasks that support the overall operations of our healthcare facility.

In this role, you will operate a multi-line phone system, maintain call logs, take and distribute messages accurately, and greet patients and visitors with warmth. You will help determine the nature of their visits, issue visitor passes, and keep track of visitor logs. Your responsibilities will also include responding to common inquiries about our services, such as location, operational hours, and contact information. Additional tasks may consist of scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, organizing mail, and managing meeting room bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor
• Facilitate patient check-in efficiently
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance
• Coordinate appointment scheduling
• Handle insurance verification
• Collect patient fees and manage transactions

Requirements:

• Exceptional phone etiquette and comfort with high call volumes
• Prior experience in a medical office setting
• Strong background in customer service
• Able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $38,000 - $45,800 per year, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
