Wells Fargo is seeking a Healthcare Portfolio Manager Associate in the Commercial Banking group. This role will sit on our Specialized Industries - Healthcare team to work as a key member of deal teams that provide research, analysis, and underwriting to prepare recommendations to extend credit and monitor existing credit relationships. In this role, you will:

Manage a complex credit portfolio of client relationships in Healthcare Portfolio Management within Commercial Banking
Research complex financial and credit information for healthcare companies according to business unit standards
Conduct due diligence, credit analysis, industry and business risk analysis, and financial modeling and projections in support of decision-making activities of loan underwriting, origination and structuring for Middle Market and Mid-Corporate sized healthcare companies
Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining and growing client relationships
Manage portfolio monitoring, renewals, and annual reviews
Provide guidance to and assist with development of junior team members

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit and leveraged credits
Experience in originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions and other credit related products, for critical or complex clients
Knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting
Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
Ability to perform in depth commercial financial statement analysis
Knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner
Experience with nCino
A BS/BA degree or higher

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
