Forklift Operator / Warehouse Operator
Safely handle, move, and position large marble slabs within the warehouse using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Assist with general warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and organizing inventory.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area by following housekeeping standards and warehouse procedures.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, especially when working around heavy materials and overhead cranes.
Complete training programs to obtain certification in sit-down forklift operation and crane operation.
Operate sit-down forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials as assigned, after completing required training.
Support the flow of materials throughout the warehouse to ensure efficient and timely daily operations.
Collaborate and communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues quickly.
Perform general labor tasks as needed, including manual material handling and assisting in different warehouse zones.
Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or damaged materials promptly to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
Previous warehouse experience preferred, with a solid understanding of basic warehouse operations.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely, including large marble slabs and other inventory.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and general labor tasks for the duration of the shift.
Willingness to complete forklift and crane certification after training is provided.
Experience or familiarity with sit-down forklift operation; at least 6 months of sit-down forklift experience is preferred.
Strong work ethic with a focus on reliability, punctuality, and consistent performance.
High attention to detail when handling materials, following instructions, and adhering to safety procedures.
Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills to work closely with coworkers and supervisors.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing priorities in a busy warehouse environment.
Interest in developing long-term skills in forklift and crane operation within a warehouse setting.
Comfort working around overhead automatic cranes and heavy materials up to approximately 500 pounds.

You work in a large, modern warehouse equipped with approximately 10 bay doors and overhead automatic cranes throughout the facility. The environment is high-tech and lean, with safety as a top priority due to regular handling of heavy marble slabs and materials around 500 pounds. You operate sit-down forklifts and work around automated lifting equipment, following established safety protocols at all times. The schedule runs from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a steady afternoon-to-evening shift. The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and efficient material flow, with a strong focus on safe material handling and teamwork. Appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and material-handling environment is expected.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
