Purpose: To cover Prime Services clients for Securities Lending on the Demand side and for their Synthetic PB trading. Contribute to the overall success of the Prime Services Team globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You'll Do: Cover clients on the Securities Lending Demand side, providing locates and managing client loan fees. Produce meaningful commentary on borrow color. Execute client swap trades and associated Scotia hedges for US Synthetic Prime Services trading. Develop and deepen meaningful relationships with clients. Minimize and strive to eliminate all operational risks associated with managing client activity. Work well under time sensitive pressure while ensuring accuracy in all daily work. Work closely with internal teams such as Securities Lending Supply, Client Services, Middle Office, Sales, etc to ensure clients are receiving the best possible service and all issues are handled quickly and accurately. Provide assistance and coverage for other teams within Prime Services, including Securities Borrowing and Lending and Synthetic Financing. Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. What You'll Bring: Strong technical, communication and project management skills. Undergraduate degree. SIE, Series 7, Series 63, Series 57 to be completed after hiring. 5-10 years of relevant experience.
