Lead Structured Cabling Technician Healthcare Projects
TradeSTAR is seeking experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technicians with a strong background in hospital and healthcare environments to support our client s growing project demands. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals who understand the precision, compliance, and urgency required when working in active medical facilities.
We are looking for leaders who can guide teams, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently in critical environments where performance matters most.

Our client is a highly respected electrical and low-voltage contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering engineering, design, installation, and service solutions across Texas. Their network services division supports structured cabling, voice and data systems, commercial AV, and integrated technologies for some of the largest and most recognizable buildings in the state.
With brick-and-mortar operations in major Texas markets and strong involvement in industry trade associations, this organization offers long-term stability, continuing education, and real career advancement opportunities for Helper, Level I, Level II, Level III, and Lead Technicians, as well as pathways into Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager roles.
What You ll Lead & Deliver
Lead installation teams on structured cabling projects within hospitals and medical facilities
Oversee installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber systems
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, site protocols, and infection control standards
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades on-site
Maintain quality control and ensure timely project completion
Build out IDF/MDF rooms (racks, patch panels, grounding, ladder rack, cable management)
Perform Fluke testing and ensure TIA/EIA compliance
Interpret blueprints and manage cable pathways
Coordinate daily workflow with project managers and other trades
Maintain clean, organized telecom spaces
Deliver projects on time and up to spec
What You Bring?
5+ years of structured cabling experience in hospital and healthcare setting
2+ years of leading crews on commercial projects, preferably in medical facilities
Strong understanding of low-voltage standards
Experience leading crews and managing timeline
Fluke certification testing experience
Professionalism, attention to detail, and safety-first mindset
