GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing assigned programs and services at a elementary, middle school or high school; assists leadership with aligning to the district's strategic plan; providing information and serving as a resource to others; supervising assigned staff; coordinating school activities and addressing issues, situations and/or problems that arise on campus or with enrolled students.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Coordinates operations ensuring objectives are achieved and enforcing district policies and regulations.
Assists with implementing student orientation and registration activities.
Assists with development and establishing of the schools goals and objectives and the planning of the schools instructional program.
Evaluates assigned personnel ensuring that standards are achieved and performance maximized.
Facilitates the development, communication implementation and evaluation of quality learning enhancing excellence, equality and equity for staff and students.
Facilitates meetings, processes, etc. meeting curriculum guidelines and/or ensuring achievement of state mandates.
Facilitates communication between personnel, students, parents and community members evaluating situations, solving problems and/or resolving conflicts.
Implements policies, procedures and/or processes providing direction and/or complying with mandated requirements.
Intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate behavior of students assisting students in modifying such behavior and developing successful interpersonal skills.
Manages a variety of school administrative functions enforcing school, district, and state policy and maintaining safety and efficiency of school operations.
Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Prepares a wide variety of materials in written and electronic form documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
Represents the school within community forums maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals and/or assisting with issues related to school environment.
Supervises school personnel monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of school's curriculum.
Supports the Principal providing assistance with administrative functions.
Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of one (1) year of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility
is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Must have a Missouri Teacher Certificate.
Must have Administrators Credentials.
Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to
the District, required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: appropriate codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; age appropriate activities; lesson plan requirements; stages of child development; and behavioral management strategies.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Must possess the physical ability to work primarily with fingers, perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
