Responsibilities Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented Chaplain.
Shift: Part-time basis as needed

For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, Behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual-diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific case.
The Chaplain functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients depending on which unit worked. The chaplain utilizes clinical and pastoral skills to assist the treatment team in giving care to patients. Special focus is given to developing the religious resources of each patient in the healing process.
Salt Lake Behavioral Health is a private bed freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and substance abuse treatment for adolescents and adults. We serve the Salt Lake City and surrounding area using evidence-based treatments in a comfortable, confidential atmosphere.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Degree from an accredited college or university in Biblical or Religious counseling/studies preferred.
- Experience: Past experience in pastoral or ministry field required. One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness and chemical dependency ( step program) preferred.
- Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
- Additional Requirements: CPR certification is required. You will need to successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions. This training will need to be done prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours.
