Registered Nurse, Hospice: 7on / 7off
Territory Coverage: Denton County (Primary), some W. Collin County. 7on/7off schedule (days/hours)Monday – Thursday 5PM-8AM. On Call RN will have to triage the phones and run visits. We have an LVN that helps on the same shift for Denton Co/Tarrant Co.
Friday 5PM-Monday 8AM (Continuous). We have RNCM’s to triage the weekends and the On Call RN will only have to run visits.
JOB SUMMARY:
The 7on/7off hospice registered nurse supports the patient needs of the agency in the evening during the weekdays and over the weekend. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities after normal business hours.
We are looking for a compassionate, talented and experienced Hospice Nurse (RN) that is eager to join an exciting organization and become part of our Hospice team. The Hospice RN, provides service for the personal, physical, emotional and social needs of the patient-family unit. RN will be responsible for evaluating and responding to the patient’s/caregiver’s needs via telephone contact, home visits, and/or facility visits for assessment, symptom management, treatment, teaching and coordination of care.JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in nursing
Maintains an active CPR certification.
At least 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare, hospice, or palliative care and/or training in end-of-life care, preferred.
Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
Demonstrate organizational skills.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
