Description

Position Overview:

The Training & Beverage Quality Assurance Manager serves in a dual-capacity leadership role: operating as the on-site Operations Manager at a designated home property while also overseeing beverage training and quality assurance standards across the broader portfolio of all Sports & Social locations.

This position bridges strategy and executionensuring beverage program integrity, operational excellence, and financial performance both at the home location and across all assigned properties. The role protects brand standards through structured training, field audits, and quality assurance systems.

While embedded in daily operations at their home property, this leader also acts as a field-based beverage ambassadordriving consistency, accountability, and elevated guest experience across the Sports & Social brand.

Responsibilities:

Home Property Operations Leadership:

  • Serve as an active Operations Manager at the designated home location.
  • Lead day-to-day F&B operations with strong focus on bar execution and beverage performance.
  • Ensure labor, inventory, and cost controls align with company targets.
  • Spearhead testing of new beverage initiatives and pilot programs.
  • Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements.
  • Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing-related actions for hourly team members in accordance with company rules and policies.
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and certified and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
  • Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction and resolve guest complaints.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new menus, programs and promotions as well as local food and beverage marketing programs, and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programs.
  • Maintain procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of restaurant inventory, and equipment, (2) ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, (3) replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner, and (4) minimize waste and control costs.
  • Assist in monitoring performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial results.
  • Participate in taking inventories.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses and labor costs, and maximize profitability within all areas of the food and beverage outlet(s).
  • Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget which supports the overall objectives of the food and beverage outlet(s).
  • Ensure that all restaurant equipment (coffee and soda machines, registers, etc.) are in proper operational condition and cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all restaurant facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes.
  • May coordinate special events.

Beverage Quality Assurance & Standards (Portfolio-Wide):

  • Partner with Director of Beverage on recipe research, development, and execution to include LTO offerings and new menu implementation.
  • Conduct routine beverage audits across properties to ensure recipe adherence, portion control, presentation standards, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and maintain standardized recipe libraries, execution guides, and training materials.
  • Monitor draft quality, inventory practices, and cost control to control beverage COGS within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, safety standards, and sponsorship requirements.
  • Deliver structured beverage training programs for bartenders, barbacks, and bar managers.
  • Support in the development of onboarding curriculum for new openings.
  • Train and support bar team within vertical, including during new openings. Provide performance feedback and coaching during property visits.
  • Support national beverage launches, LTO programs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure operational scalability of new menu items.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience of beverage or bar operations leadership in a multi-location or regional capacity.
  • Background or experience in sports bars preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of alcohol safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to travel within the vertical as required (up to 60% travel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
