Job description

A 165-bed hospital in Davie, FL is seeking an RN Manager for its Labor and Delivery unit. The hospital, which opened in 2021 and serves Davie and the broader Broward County area, offers a full range of services including maternity care, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, oncology, neurosciences, and a 24/7 emergency department.

The role. Reporting into hospital administration, the Nurse Manager leads a team of 27 FTEs across the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum (PNU) departments, overseeing a 20-bed postpartum unit and newborn nursery in a unit that supports up to 1,500 births annually. This leader directs, plans, organizes, and evaluates both departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards set by state agencies, TJC, CMS, and AHCA. The role carries full accountability for staff performance, departmental operations, and budget management, while coordinating services across units and with hospital administration to maintain efficient, effective patient care.

What we're looking for.
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery Manager experience
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Current STABLE certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, days with no weekend requirement.

Compensation. $42.36 - $62.00/hr
