A suburban 20-bed hospital campus in the Tucson area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a full-time, 13-week assignment with the option to transition to hire. This role offers competitive weekly pay and full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc. for the duration of the assignment.
Assignment Details : Start : ASAP
Schedule : Monday through Friday, day shifts
Duration : 13 weeks (potential for contract-to-hire)
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of all medications
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection, dosing, and therapy optimization
Educate nursing staff, providers, and patients on medication use
Support medication safety initiatives and monitor patient profiles
Identify, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions
Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and manage sterile compounding tasks
Maintain DEA, federal, state, and hospital compliance standards
Handle narcotic accountability and proper documentation
Provide high-level clinical and operational support across the hospital
Required Qualifications :
Active and unencumbered Arizona Pharmacist License
Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience required
Strong clinical judgment and ability to collaborate effectively with care teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations
This facility is located in a suburban area of Tucson, so travel stipends are not applicable.
