Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center currently has a Full-time Cook/Kitchen staff position available. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays. The f ull-time Cook/Kitchen Staff will prepare food for meals and special functions as needed. Prepares patient/staff trays and salad/dessert bars; serves food to patients, staff and guests. Performs cleaning, stocking, maintenance, sanitation, and trash removal as assigned.

Qualifications

The position of Cook/Kitchen staff requires: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or other formal culinary education is preferred. Knowledge of food service, food safety and sanitation is required. ServSafe Certification is preferred. Experience with cooking and meal prep in an facility setting is preferred.
