As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience, supporting clinic operations, and helping our providers deliver efficient, compassionate care to the diverse communities we serve.

About the Role

The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to the care team. This role is responsible for preparing patients for visits, collecting and documenting clinical information, supporting providers during exams and procedures, and helping ensure smooth daily clinic flow.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer medications and immunizations as directed by a provider and within scope of practice.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests as appropriate.
  • Explain treatment instructions, medications, and care plans to patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurately document patient information, test results, and care activities in the electronic health record.
  • Support coding and documentation processes for billing and insurance purposes.
  • Clean, disinfect, and prepare exam rooms and equipment between patients.
  • Maintain organized, safe, and stocked clinical workspaces.
  • Support patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
  • Communicate patient concerns, needs, or changes in condition to appropriate staff.
  • Participate in team huddles and daily clinic operations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

Why Join Care Alliance?

As a Medical Assistant, you will be part of a mission-driven team that works every day to improve access to care and support positive health outcomes.

We offer a competitive benefits package, including:

  • Paid Time Off
  • 10 paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Retirement plan with up to a 7% employer match

Work Environment

This role operates in a clinical environment with frequent interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, move throughout the clinic, assist patients as needed, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent patient care and service. Travel between clinic sites may be required based on organizational needs.

Requirements

We are looking for a Medical Assistant who provides care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with diverse patient populations, enjoys teamwork, and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of patient care and service.
